Savings of £12,000 for Peterborough Diocese Education Trust
Peterborough Diocese Education Trust required a review of the operational spending across all 16 schools within their MAT to ensure they were buying compliantly (adhering to PCR 2015) and also achieving good value for money.
Education Buying were appointed by the trust to carry out this exercise using their evaluation process. This has proved to identify substantial savings for schools and provides procurement tools for improving the efficiency and effectiveness of procurement processes, focussed on reducing operational costs.
Education Buying analysed the trust’s spend data using current spend information and savings of over 60,000 were identified including category savings of up to 65%.
A specific category example is energy, where Education Buying worked with all trust’s schools in running a tender for their energy. This exercise aligned all their gas and electricity contracts and achieved savings of over £12,000.
